Life is all about choices. That is not just a saying, it’s a fact. The choices you make today will influence the decisions you make tomorrow and so forth. It is my belief that all people are inherently evil. We all know the dark impulses; those dark behaviors. If we indulge those impulses and make decisions that center around them, the darker we become as people.
On the other hand, if we reverse that trend and make positive decisions versus negative decisions we will gradually become better people.
I believe we all have a conscience. Our conscience is influenced on the choices we make. If we make positive choices, the stronger our conscience becomes. If we make negative choices, the quieter and darker it becomes until it is void.
For an example, lets examine the television show Breaking Bad. The main character Walter White starts out as a loving and devoted family man who over the course of the series descends into a drug kingpin. Starting out, he’s appalled by the THOUGHT of committing murder. As he continually murders, however, he grows more and more comfortable. The morals he once had are quietly fading away into madness.
The moral of this blog piece? Make wise decisions. Regardless of your intentions behind them, consider the ramifications of those choices not just for the present or the foreseeable future but for YOUR entire benefit. Will the choices you make ultimately lead you down the path of ruin? Or will they better you as a human being and enlighten you to the prospects the world holds open to you. Think about it.
